NBT’s Weishuhn Gets ‘Casual for a Cause’
The employees at National Bank and Trust held a “Casual for a Cause” fundraiser on Thursday, April 20, which netted $652.50. The money will be donated to La Grange Relay for Life, which in turn benefits the American Cancer Society.
As part of the fundraiser, the staff at NBT pulled a joke on their co-worker Jaye Weishuhn. Weishuhn is somewhat notorious for wearing a suit and tie every day to work, even on the bank’s weekly Casual Friday.
On the day of the check presentation, the staff tricked Jaye into thinking everyone was going to dress casually. Weishuhn arrived to work wearing shorts, cowboy boots and t-shirt (worn over a collared shirt; he is a banker, after all).
Everyone else “dressed to the nines, to make him feel as casual as possible” said NBT assistant vice president Patrick Raborn.
La Grange Relay for Life was held on Saturday, April 22.
