Ammannsville Oil Drilling Heats Up

Fayette County Commissioners approved four more applications for oil pipeline road crossings in the southeast section of the County on Monday, April 24.

The permits will allow GeoSouthern Energy Partners to lay pipeline underneath Brandt River Bottom Road, Vornsand Road, Seydler Road, Hajovsky Road and Beyer Grey Road, all in Precinct 4.

Pct. 4 Commissioner Tom Muras reported that the oil company was setting up a drilling rig in the Ammannsville area a short distance south of FM 1383. 

“They’re going to start drilling any day now,” Muras said at Monday’s Commissioners Court meeting.
