Amateur Paleontologists Make ‘Find of the Year’ in the Colorado River
Have you ever seen a petrified dinosaur egg? Look what I found (pictured below) on the water’s edge, in our creek. It appears to be a very large stream tumbled egg-shaped rock.
The Alamosaurus roamed Texas during the Cretaceous period and could lay an egg that size. Eggs could range from 12-24 inches in length, round or oval with a very nice circumference, depending on the species of the animal.
I couldn’t get to it because the water was too deep for my boots. I needed waders. I don’t own any, but my husband, Doc, does.
