From the Strange But True File: Rapper-For-Hire Set to Debut Political Song at LG Council Meeting
An anonymous hip hop songwriter plans to drop a hot new political beat at the next La Grange City Council meeting.
The artist had planned to debut the song during public petitions at the beginning of the meeting on Monday, May 8. A sudden illness apparently prevented an appearance by the rapper who was supposed to perform the song.
The songwriter, who is going by the pseudonym Ken Johnson, posted the following ad on Craigslist Saturday night:
“Need Hip Hop Rapper in La Grange Monday night. Political Rapper needed in La Grange, Monday May 8, 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in La Grange. Rap out a tune about Freedom of Speech, First Amendment, Tom Jefferson, et al. The song is ready and...
