New Winchester Residents from Montana Welcomed at Night Out Event

Attendees at Neighbors Night Out enjoyed an evening at Barbara and Richard Schafer’s home where a new family was welcomed into the area. John and Brie Larmoeux and their five children have moved to Winchester from Montana. Brie stated that “she could take the heat over the minus 20 degree weather they had at their former home.” The next Neighbors Night Out will be on Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Zilss Hall.

Evelyn Parker has spent the last few days enjoying time with family at Lake LBJ. She too, is trying to beat the heat.

The Winchester Area Civic Association is sponsoring Hailey Miertschin, of Winchester, for Fayette County Fair Queen. The fair will run Aug. 31-Sept. 3 and is celebrating 90 years.
