Lehmann

Corrine Violet (Ruether) Lehmann, 88, of La Grange, died Sunday, July 23, 2017. Corrine was born in Haw Creek, Texas on Dec. 6, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Stella (Wunderlich) Neumann. She married Arno Ruether on May 22, 1948. After the death of her first husband, Arno in 1994, she married Quintus Lehmann in 1997. Corrine raised three children while helping her husband, Arno, operate their grocery store, Ruether’s Grocery. She also sold Avon for 40 years and belonged to the President’s Club for many years. Visitation was set for Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, American Lung Association, JDRF Diabetes Foundation or St. John Lutheran Church. Family and friends can view and sign the guestbook online at www.lagrangefunerals.com.
