Carolyn Ann Walla, 66, of Ramsey, died July 25, 2017 in Ramsey. She was born on Oct. 16, 1950 to Leander Paul and Bessie Agnes (Wostarek) Walla in Sealy. Carolyn worked as a secretary for Mac and Rita Ruffeno (MacDonald Properties) in Columbus. Also, she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Lions Club, and worked many years for Columbus Opera House and Columbus Historic Preservation Trust, formerly Magnolia Homes Tour. Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Debra Walla Michalke of Cat Spring, and Sharon Walla Luedke and husband Douglas of New Ulm; brothers, Ronald D. Walla of Cat Spring, and Donald L. Walla of Santa Fe; nieces and nephews, Wesley Michalke, David Walla, Nancy Walla Kalmus, Cassie Luedke Tucker, and Brian Luedke; great nieces and great nephews, Maysen Kalmus, Miles Kalmus, Keaton Pike, Triston Tucker, Clayton Tucker, and Kaitlyn Walla; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander Paul and Bessie Agnes (Wostarek) Walla, and brothers, Thomas Walla and Kenneth W. Walla. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Abraham Berko officiating. Burial took place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Serving as pallbearers were Monroe Wostarek, David Walla, Larry Walla, Brian Luedke, Douglas Girndt and Wesley Michalke. Honorary pallbearers were all her nieces, nephews and cousins.
