Just a Thought New and Improved Isn’t Always Better

Does anyone remember the “New Coke?” That was one epic fail. I didn’t like it and apparently, neither did anyone else. But most of the time, it seems that I am in the minority.

As a consumer, I am often faced with changes in products. They claim “New and Improved” only for me to wish the “Old and Established” was still available.

Take make-up for one example. I used a particular brand of make-up for years. I liked the moisturizer, the base, and the mascara in particular. When this company first changed the mascara, they said it was “new and improved” – well, not for me. I happen to have very oily skin and that includes under my eyes. Most waterproof mascaras are removed with an oily product. Since that is a problem area for me, I needed a waterproof/oil proof mascara. This particular make-up company had that, until they didn’t.
