Joseph John Beran

Funeral services for Joseph John Beran, 93, of Deanville, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dime Box. with Father Joy Adimakkeel and Father Ramon Frayna officiating. Joseph John Beran was born on June 19, 1924 the son of Joe and Bessie (Piwonka) in the Deanville-Red Hollow Area. He married Bernadette Bayer of Deanville on Oct. 27, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell. Joseph died the morning of Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017 at CHI St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center in Bryan. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Bayer-Beran of Deanville; daughter, Betty Jo Sodek and her husband Larry of Fayetteville; son, Jacob J. Beran and his wife Marlena of Deanville; six grandchildren, Chris Sodek and his wife Leigh Ann of Flatonia, Marcus Sodek and his wife Kim of Fayetteville, Matthew Sodek and his special friend Gabby Matocha of Fayetteville, Leslie Orr and her husband Taylor of Weatherford, Rebecca Gardner of Caldwell, and Shawna Rassmussen and her husband Carl of Dallas; six great grandchildren, Duke Sodek, Summer Sodek, Henley Sodek, Taylor Gardner, Claire Gardner, and Ava Gardner. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
