Schwartz
Linda Darlene Schwartz, 68, died last Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Christopher House in Austin surrounded by family. She was born in Dallas on July 13, 1949 to Henry and Ruby Zoch. She married William Innes Schwartz Sr. on Nov. 30, 1969 and had three children. They were married for 49 wonderful years. She worked as a manager at AT&T for many years, although she retired early to be a stay at home mom. She was a strong Christian, full time mother, loving wife, and later became what her grandchildren affectionately called Super Grandmommy. She loved basketball, mainly the San Antonio Spurs, and she never missed a game if she could help it. She was a genealogist for much of her adult life, and she enjoyed sharing what she learned with her family. She was a member of Bastrop Bible Church where she worshiped with her husband William, and volunteered whenever she could to support her church and community. She encouraged faithfulness and devotion to God in her children, often reminding them that God has a plan for everyone, and counseled them to prayer in good times and bad. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Milton Zoch; her mother, Ruby Gene Zoch, her father-in-law, Innes Watson Schwartz; her mother- in- law, Doris Alta Schwartz; and her beloved son-in-law, James Michael Nicholas. She is survived by her husband William Schwartz, three children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She touched the lives of everyone she met, and while she will be deeply missed, Heaven rejoices to have her home. Linda was interned at the National Cemetery in Dallas on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017. A memorial service will be held for her at the Bastrop Bible Church at 602 Pecan St. in Bastrop on Sunday Sept. 3, 2017, at 2:30 p.m.
