Schulenburg PD: Man High on PCP Arrested For Hitting Officer With Baseball Bat
Schulenburg Police arrested a man from Weimar last Thursday, Oct. 26, after he allegedly hit an officer with a baseball bat while high on PCP.
According to a report from Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek, the episode happened around 8:15 a.m. during a domestic disturbance at a home in the 800 block of Wolf Street.
Officer Jon Aston responded to a call of a man and a woman fighting. Brenek said that upon arrival, Aston observed a man breaking windows and smashing a car with a baseball bat. The man was identified as 36-year-old Autry Ellison of Weimar.
When Aston told Ellison to stop, Brenek said, Ellison approached Aston with the bat and threw it at him. The bat struck Aston in the leg. Aston then fired his taser at Ellison and incapacitated the suspect.
