Another Meeting

It can drive a person crazy – church meetings, planning meetings, community meetings, political meetings, committee member meetings, officer meetings, etc. There’s probably a meeting to discuss the next meeting.

Believe it or not there are four types of meetings: report and information oriented, decision making and problem solving, creative and brainstorming and finally, training and skill building.

You get a phone call and the person on the other end asks you to run for an office, whether it be president, vice president, secretary or treasurer. Your first thought is, why me? Your second thought is I have to attend those meetings. As you can probably tell, I’m not a “meeting person.” Let me be the person who just helps but don’t ask me to sit through a meeting.
