Willie Mae Meyer

Funeral services for Willie Mae Meyer, 92, of Giddings, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Willie Mae (Kroll) Meyer was born on Aug. 20, 1925 in Burton to Albert Ernest Kroll and Frieda (Beckermann) Kroll. She was united in marriage to Raymond C. Meyer on Dec. 16, 1946 in Giddings. Willie Mae died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White in Brenham. Willie Mae is survived by her son, Rodney Meyer and his wife, Melanie of Giddings; her daughter, Patty Cagle and her husband, Randy of Henderson, Nevada; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Quin Dell Kroll and his wife, Jean of Houston; three sisters- in-law, Bobbie Faye Kroll of Brenham, Irene Redkey of Silsbee and Marilyn Meyer of Giddings as well as several nieces and nephews. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
