Toddler in Critical Condition After Fall Into Pool

A two-year-old girl from Round Top remains in critical condition after nearly drowning in a pool on Saturday, Dec. 30.

According to a report from Lt. David Beyer of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the child fell into a swimming pool while her family was visiting out-of-town friends who own a weekend home on Andreas Road.

The father told investigators that the family had just arrived at the property and were greeting their friends when his daughter wandered away. The father told investigators that the child was missing about three to five minutes when he found her floating in the pool.
