The Golden Years

I was introduced to her and her husband and the four of us almost immediately started talking about being senior citizens.

The first subject was what ails us. The gentleman I just met walked with a limp and we, of course, discussed why he had a limp, his treatment and prognosis. The four of us shared our aches and pains and how they were being treated.

Then, we started talking about insurance. That led to Medicare – things that were covered and weren’t covered and a person better have supplemental insurance.

After that was solved, or we thought it was solved, prescriptions were discussed. That led to the conclusion that pharmaceutical companies are charging way too much money for drugs. Of course, we don’t’ know that for sure but that was the conclusion reached.
