LG’s Glenna Laffey Named 2017 Texas Fairs Volunteer of the Year

In 1981 Glenna Laffey began her journey with the Fayette County Fair Association. Now she begins every fair year by checking in entries into the Fine Arts Department in the Creative Arts Building. Glenna has worked with several extension agents throughout the years seeing changes which has inspired her to create the setting for the talented exhibitors of Fayette County and its surrounding communities to proudly display their work.

The Fayette County Fair has been a supporter of agriculture and youth activities for over 90 years. Glenna invites and welcomes exhibitors of all ages to enter any of the many departments she has organized. It is here- in the Creative Arts Department of the Fayette County Fair that every entry is proudly displayed and handled with much care and pride for the fair goers to view the judged results.
