Jan. 12-16, 1968

The Charlie Warren home on W. Colorado St. was destroyed in an early morning fire. Firemen got the call at 6:20 a.m., but the threeroom house was beyond saving by the time they arrived on the scene. Fire Chief Stanley Webb said one of the occupants poured oil into a wood stove, causing an explosion that resulted in the blaze.

Rainfall in the Hostyn community for 1967 totaled 32.6 inches, according to Mrs. Emil Kana. That compared with 30.3 inches for 1966.
