Franklin Eugene Walther

A Memorial Service for Franklin Eugene Walther, 79, of Houston, was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda. Franklin was born Aug. 21, 1938 in Warda to Albert Paul and Alma Zoch Walther. Franklin served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam conflict and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda. He was a machinist and a farmer. Franklin is survived by one daughter, Jean Dery of Montana; one brother and sister-in-law, Vestine and Gloria Walther of Houston; three sisters-in- law, Ruth Walther of Missourri City, Helga Walther of Houston, and Mary Walther of Houston; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Walther; two sisters, Edith Walther Zoch and Ruth Mittasch; four brothers, William, Curtis, Johnny, and Elwood Walther; and two grandchildren. Family suggests memorials to the Faith Lutheran High School P.O. Box 138 Warda, Texas 78960. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
