Clara Handrick

Funeral services for Clara Handrick, 100, of Lincoln, were scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln with Rev. Dale Bohm officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Clara Louise Nathalie (Meier) Handrick was born on Sept. 15, 1917 in Lincoln. She was the second child born to Henry Christian Meier and Emma Lydia (Boriack) Meier. Clara was united in marriage to Herbert Otto Handrick on Oct. 5, 1941 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Clara is survived by five children, Clarice and Howard Schneider of Houston, Karol Hunter of Hempstead, Ethel Powell of Lincoln, Herbert and Arlene Handrick of Lincoln and Sheryl Pratt and Charles Sulak of Brenham; one daughter-in-law, Victoria Handrick of Giddings; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step great, great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Wenke of Serbin and Annie Jenke of Giddings; one sister-in-law, Elsie Handrick of New Braunfels as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
