Haseloff
Alfred Haseloff, 92, of San Marcos, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in San Antonio. Alfred was born in Muldoon on March 28, 1926, the son of Herman and Annie (Ehler) Haseloff. He married Dorothy Sauer on Jan. 8, 1947 in La Grange. Alfred served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a diesel mechanic for 50 years and retired in 1990. Alfred loved to fish and working with his hands on any project. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 71 years; two daughters: Annie Burdick of New Braunfels, and Christine Orsolics of Vienna, Austria; three sons: David Haseloff, Sr. of Angleton; Alfred Haseloff, Jr. of Angleton; and Donald Haseloff of San Marcos; two brothers: Helmuth Haseloff and Martin Haseloff, both of Houston; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Milton Koerth. Graveside services will be held at Black Jack Springs Cemetery, 5199 Black Jack Rd., near La Grange, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 42nd Rainbow Division Veterans Foundation at www.rainbowvets.org.
