Leonard Iselt

Funeral services for Leonard Iselt, 93, of Fedor, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Leonard Edwin Iselt was born on Feb. 23, 1925 in Fedor to Arthur Albert Iselt and Lydia Alma Olga (Winkler) Iselt. On May 20, 1945, Leonard was united in marriage to Erma Olga Schneider. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher who enjoyed taking care of his cattle. Leonard died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings. Leonard is survived by his daughter, Cecile Brade and her husband, Gerald of Fedor; his two sons, Wilbert Iselt and his wife, Linda of Lexington and Dennis Iselt and his wife, Dorothy of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, Chris Brade of Conroe, Brandon Brade of Giddings, Scott Iselt and his wife, Sherri of Fedor, Bryan Iselt of Lexington, D.J. Iselt and his wife, Jennifer of Lexington, Jonathan Iselt of Dime Box, and Tracy Iselt and his wife, Crystal of Fedor; fourteen great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Margie Iselt of Cypress and Susie Proske of La Grange as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
