Nietenhoefer

Verlie Fay Nietenhoefer of Hondo, 84, died Friday, Apr. 20, 2018. Born at home in Oldenburg, Fayette County, on Jan. 6, 1934, she was the daughter of Thaddeus R. and Johanna Wubbenhorst Keilers. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lillian Zingelmann and Irene Zingelmann. Survivors include her husband, Henry C. Nietenhoefer; sons, Stuart (Melissa Boehme) Nietenhoefer of Hondo and Alan (Chelesa Couch) Nietenhoefer of Perkins OK; grandchildren Johanna (Trenton) Hall of Humble, Amanda (Hayden Holmes) Nietenhoefer of Uvalde, and Austin Nietenhoefer and Kellen Nietenhoefer, both of Perkins OK; great-granddaughters, Rielynn Hall and Berkley Hall. Visitation will be Tuesday, Apr. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 24, 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.
