Judy Lynn (Kieke) Krebs, 56, of Willow Springs died Thursday, April 19, 2018. Judy Krebs was born March 29, 1962 to M.C. and Dora Kieke of Burton. She was baptized May 20, 1962 by Reverend J.R. Johnson and confirmed June 26, 1976 by William E. Schulze at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. She graduated from Burton High School in 1980 and attended Blinn College. On Aug. 23, 1986 she married Jerry Lee Krebs of Willow Springs at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. Judy began her career as a bank teller at Washington County State Bank and later ran the family business at E.C. Minssen Store in Willow Springs for many years. Learning from her mom in the flower shop, Judy had a green thumb and enjoyed all plants and flowers. While in school she was involved in National Honor Society, Polka Dot Band and many sports. She enjoyed playing board games at family gatherings and practicing volleyball and softball with her daughter. She enjoyed watching television shows like Wheel of Fortune, Dancing with the Stars, Amazing Race, and Big Brother. She made sure she was at every sporting event for her children, and every livestock show where they showed their swine projects. She was a proud Aggie mom to two Texas A&M University graduates and loved watching them walk across the stage at Reed Arena. Judy was a faithful Christian. She enjoyed playing hand bells at Trinity Lutheran Church of Frelsburg and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She volunteered with the Krebs Cemetery, Fayetteville Show Fund, auditing committee and call committee at church. Family was very important to her. She was very proud of her children and supported all of their activities. She always put others ahead of herself and never sought recognition. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Krebs of Willow Springs; son, Jared Krebs and wife Hannah; daughter, Jenna Krebs and fiancé Bradley Folsom; brother, Darrell Kieke; niece, Katie Kieke; mother- in- law, Nelcine Krebs; brother in-law, Stanley Krebs and wife Lisa; brother in-law, Glendale Krebs and wife Lisa; niece, Kayla Kaspar and husband Kory; nephew, Dustin Krebs and wife Jacki; niece, Kimberly Sodek and husband Marcus; nephew, Blake Krebs and wife Holly; nephew, Michael Krebs and wife Katy; niece, Sydney Krebs; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, M.C. and Dora Kieke, her grandparents, her uncle, William Tappe, and father-in-law Larry Arno Krebs. Funeral services for Judy Lynn (Kieke) Krebs will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Frelsburg with Pastors Glenn E. Hohlt and Glen Schoeneberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Krebs Cemetery in Willow Springs. Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Stanley Krebs, Glendale Krebs, Ed Wilde, Ronnie Kramar, Robert Mantey, Dustin Krebs, Blake Krebs, and Michael Krebs. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church of Frelsburg, St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton, Krebs Cemetery Fund, or any favorite charity.
