Alburta Stork

Funeral services for Alburta Stork, 93, of Giddings, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Giddings with Tim Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Alburta Louise (Friedrichs) Stork was born on Aug. 2, 1924 in Golia to Walter L. and Viola (Tuttle) Friedrichs. She was united in marriage to John Caleb “J.C.” Stork on Feb. 22, 1944 in Goliad. She died Monday, May 7, 2018 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her four children, John Stork and his wife, Cathie of Giddings, Linda Rizzo and her husband, Joe of Giddings, Mary Stork of Giddings, and James Stork of Giddings; special daughter, Joy Kotal and her husband, Pat of Tomball; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one brother, Roger Friedrichs and his wife, Jane of Milano; one sister, Grace Ellen Beckner of Irving, as well as countless nieces and nephews. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings is in charge of arrangements.
