Sean Matejcek

Funeral services for Sean Matejcek, 43, of Leo, Ind. and formerly of Giddings, were held at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Sean Blaine Matejcek was born on March 30, 1975 in Houston to Robert Dale Matejcek and Terry Renee (Pampell) Matejcek. He graduated from Giddings High School in 1993 and attended Blinn College in Brenham. Sean was a shop foreman and a CNC programmer at American Industrial Polymers in Giddings for several years. He died unexpectedly the evening of Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. He is survived by his two children, Sara Matejcek and Seth Matejcek both of Giddings; his parents, Robert and Terry Matejcek of Giddings; his fiancee, Sharon Barron of Leo, Ind. and her children, Matthew, Chandler, Kyle and Marcella Schriber; his brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Mae Matejcek of Houston; two nieces and one nephew, Brianna, Adam and Abigail Matejcek all of Houston; several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins and friends. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School in Giddings or to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings was in charge of arrangements.
