Over the past two editions we covered local students who atended Texas Boys State in Austin last week. Among the highlights were a bill to settle "any and all lawsuits with a trial by combat," and a bill to legalize marijuana in Texas. Here's a video produced by Boys State highlighting some of the proceedings.
FCR summer intern Kara Koether has a story on page A3 about the Angel Run, which takes place this weekend. The 5K run and walk raises awareness for victims of domestic violence. The event is organized by the group Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence. Learn more about the run in the video below:

Local students Madeline Benbenek and Abigail Roscher attended the ten-day event. Fayette Electric Cooperative sponsors local student to attend every year.
