Traveling for Work/Vacation

Vacations can be fun, but planning for them can be a challenge.

I tend to be the one doing most of the planning. I start by determining our travel dates, followed by deciding the method of transportation. As soon as that is decided, start looking for a place to stay. I begin that process by checking the prices online and trying to get the best deal possible.

If we are traveling by air, the hotels are usually included in the package. But when we travel by car, the stops have to be strategically planned. When children are involved, even more strategy is needed. One of my granddaughters cannot sit (for medical reasons) for more than one to two hours at a time and a total of four to six per day. So, when traveling with them, the stops need to be within those parameters.
