Wrestling, a New Fair Wrinkle, Energizes the Friday Night Crowd

Editor’s Note: For those of you who missed Friday’s wrestling action at the Fair, staff writer Andy Behlen, a big wrestling fan, recaps the action:

La Grange wrestler Charley Moret scored a win by disqualification Friday night at the Fair after a pair of rogues employed some dirty business during his match. But when they tried teaming up again later, to strip the title belt from the reigning champion, the Golden Gator returned and put an end to their treachery.

Moret fought one of the rogues, Braysin Scott, in a match early on the card. Scott would have fallen to Moret if not for an intervention by the masked hoodlum El Rayo. El Rayo and Scott stomped Moret in the ring, forcing Moret to leave injured and giving him the win by disqualification ...
