VFW Post No. 5254 Teacher Of the Year Contest Open

The Fayette Memorial VFW’s nominations for Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year are due on Oct. 31. Teachers of grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 can be nominated by fellow teachers, students, supervisors or other interested individuals (not relatives).

VFW annually recognized the nation’s top classroom elementary, junior high and high school teachers who teach citizenship education topics regularly and promote America’s history and traditions effectively. Teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism are prime candidates for the award.
