Massive Structure Fire Burning on Knape Road

A fire on Knape Road south of La Grange destroyed a garage and threatened a home Wednesday morning, Oct. 24.

La Grange and Schulenburg volunteer fire departments responded. Smoke could be seen for miles around while it was burning. The residence escaped major damage.

The two departments spent more than three hours fighting the blaze before putting it out. The cause of the fire was unknown.
