Jodie walked upright into peace and can now rest (Isaiah 57:2). Bernice Alma “Jodie” Fricke Reed passed away from this life in the early morning of Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Reed; sons, Clint Cameron Reed and Scott Andrew Reed and son-in-law, Robert Sauer. Jodie is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Schelling and husband, Greg; granddaughters, Rachel Dahlman and husband, Matthew and Lauren Mason and husband, Brazos; great-granddaughter, Fox Evelyn Mason; twin sister, Ruth Menking and husband, Eugene; brother, Edgar Fricke and wife, Esse Lee and numerous other relatives and friends. Her passing is mourned even as her life is celebrated by her  friends and family. Mrs. Reed was a dedicated wife, skilled businesswoman, and loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in her family, in the delights of nature, and found her peace in her faith of salvation. A funeral service and memorial will be held at her childhood church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, Texas at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018. She will then be laid to rest in the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top next to her late husband, sons, and son-in-law.
