Irene Esther (Hentschel) Pietsch

Irene Esther (Hentschel) Pietsch, 82, of La Grange, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Monument Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in La Grange. Irene was born in Winchester on Aug. 13, 1931, the daughter of Fredrick William and Alma Hermina (Symank) Hentschel. She married Anton Clemens Pietsch on Jan. 16, 1949 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester. Irene was a member of the Cheer Group and enjoyed attending Bible class at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing with Anton, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Don Pietsch and wife, Kathy of West Point and Ray Pietsch and wife, Doris of La Grange; daughter, Marlene Schnell and husband, Dennis of West Point; daughter-in-law, Debbie Pietsch of La Grange; grandchildren; Don Clayton Pietsch and wife, Hannah of Katy, Lynsey Bamsch and husband, Milton of La Grange, Shannon McCourt and husband, Connor of Ft. Worth, Brittani Pietsch of La Grange, Keith Schnell and wife, Grace of Marble Falls, Brandon Schnell and wife, Christa of La Grange, Justin Schnell of West Point, and Lauren Rinald and husband Kyle of Victoria; great grandchildren; Morgan and Alyssa McCourt, Cadence and Caleb Rinald, Jonathan Bamsch and Adlin Schnell; sister, Bernice Latimer of Winchester and brother, Elton Hentschel of Temple; brother-in-law, Norbert Pietsch and wife, Ruth of Montgomery; sister-in-laws; Thelma Zoch of Winchester, Dolores Pietsch of Gatesville, Leatrice Haney of Palestine, and Lydia Hentschel of Goliad; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Robert “Bobby” Pietsch; one infant brother; three brothers; Herbert, Fred and Albert Hentschel; one sister, Daley Knobloch; two sisters-in-law, Louise Lehmann and Mildred Lehmann; six brothers-inlaw, Walter Lehmann, Arthur Lehmann, Martin Zoch, Wilbert Pietsch, Bill Haney, and Paul Knobloch. Visitation was held on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. Burial will follow at Mt.
