Nelda (Weyand) Keilers, 96, of Houston (formerly of Round Top) died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018.

Nelda was born in Fayette County on Jan. 14, 1922, the daughter of George and Hattie (Mueller) Weyand. Nelda married Edgar Keilers on Nov. 10, 1940 in Warrenton.

She worked as a receiving clerk for Walker-Kurth Lumber Yard as well as working for Pape’s Nursery. Nelda was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Houston.

She is survived by two daughters: Doris Mae Falkenberg and husband, Gary, of Hockley; Carol Jean Jenkins and husband, C.D., of La Grange; three sons: Burney Lee Keilers of Somerville; Ronnie Lynn Keilers and wife, Karen, of Hockley; and Danny Ray Keilers and wife, Karen, of Cypress; sister, Pearlie Tumis of La Grange; brother, Lester Weyand and wife, Cecilia, of Cypress; OBITUARIES nine grandchildren: Dorothy Keilers, Daniel Keilers, and Cynthia Wallace, Craig Falkenberg, Jason Falkenberg, Hollie Jenkins, Brandon Keilers, Cody Keilers and Katherine Keilers; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar; infant granddaughter; sister, Ruby Keilers; three brothers: Ollie, Lonnie and Kenny Weyand.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations.

Funeral Services were held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018. Burial followed at Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Blvd., Houston, Texas 77092, American Heart Association, or to a charity of one’s choice.
