Officials Say Water Quality Issues to Be Resolved Soon

La Grange has been dealing with its own water quality issues for over three years. The City first received a violation notice for high levels of trihalomethanes in December 2015 and ever since has been out of compliance standards set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

In an interview with the Record last week, Assistant City Manager Frank Menefee said he expects the water system to regain compliance after the next round of quarterly testing, which should be complete by March.
