Rosie L. James, 99, of La Grange died Nov. 25, 2013 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. She was born July 8, 1914 in Fayette County to William, Sr. and Sophia (Gates) Demerson. She was employed as a nurse’s aide and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in La Grange. She is survived by son Calvin and wife Karen James of

Richmond; sister Gladys Demerson of La Grange; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, paretns, four sisters, and five brothers. Funeral services were held Dec. 1, 2013 at St. James

United Methodist Church in La Grange at 1 p.m. The Rev. Morris Daugherty officiated. Burial followed in the La Grange City
