St. Mark’s Rallies Around One of Its Own When Cancer Strikes

Every day, St. Mark’s Medical Center employees in La Grange reach out to their patients with kindness, respect and empathy. It’s not surprising then that when one of their own was diagnosed with breast cancer, saying they cared wasn’t

enough. “We wanted to show our support for Amanda by ordering special pink t-shirts for her and her family. We also asked

permission to wear our shirts on Thursdays at the hospital, the day Amanda goes for treatments. Then the idea  mushroomed from there,” said her lab coworker Sarah Weishuhn.
