As Filing Deadline Looms, Political Winds Swirl

Cecil Webster, the chairman of the Fayette County Democratic Party, said he plans to resign that post on Monday, and

will likely run for a yet-to-be-determined elected county office. Webster’s decision comes at a critical time in the local party’s history, as over the last few months four local Democratic have announced they are switching to the Republican Party
