Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas-KJZT Has New Name

It’s official, there is a name change to the Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas – KJZT; and now the official name is KJZT Family Life.

The first quarterly meeting and social of KJZT Family Life Society No. 31 of La Grange, St. Frances of Rome, was held Thursday, Feb. 21 in the Sacred Heart Parish Msgr. Harry Center beginning at 4:30 p.m. President Elizabeth Kallus opened the meeting with a quote from Author, E.M. Bounds, “God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world, the better the world will be”. Then she led members in prayers for living and deceased members and the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. and Texas flags.

Reading of the Nov. 8, 2018 meeting minutes was dispensed, treasurer Barbara Eilert filed her report, and secretary Marilyn Kothmann read thank you notes and correspondence from the State Office informing members of changes to the Fraternal funding and society structure graph; newly formatted State website is up and running with the email address remaining kjzt.org; and with membership being a priority, new referral contests have been put into place for the year 2019 – “Refer to Earn” and “Let’s Connect” – with all details being in the latest issue of the KJZT Family Life Journal newspaper.
