Patricia “Pat” Hamman Schlinkman, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Weimar.
She was born in Dallas on May 6, 1928 to Clyde William Hamman and Margaret Gresham Hamman.
Pat graduated from Sunset High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin. During college, she met and married Danny Green and they had three daughters, Kelly, Holly and Penny.
After moving from Texas to Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Rome, Italy and back to Texas, she found herself working for the Houston Oilers. It was there that she met and later married her second husband, Coach Walt Schlinkman on June 3, 1967, in Dallas.
Pat and Walt purchased land in the Ammannsville/Dubina area in 1971, relocated full time to the area in 1977 and established a real estate company, Antique Store Realty.
In 1983, they opened Nannie’s Biscuit and Bakery (named after her mother), located off Interstate 10 and Highway 90.
Pat was preceded in death by husband, Walt Schlinkman; and brother, William Hamman.
She is survived by daughters, Kelly Livingston and husband Bill of Schulenburg, Holly Hargis and partner John Cypher of Houston, and Penny Herring of San Antonio.
Pat also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Amanda, Carrie, Courtney, Jenny, Beth, Torrey and Thomas, plus eight great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Tammie Billeck for her seven years of love and service to our mom.
A private burial was held on Sunday, Feb. 24.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 30, at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Schulenburg.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Pat’s name to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Schulenburg.
