The monthly gathering of the Rural Non-Profit Networking Group (RNNG) was held on Friday, Aug. 3 and was hosted by the Schulenburg/Weimar Area Parents-as-Teachers (PAT). The gathering was held at the First United Methodist Church in Weimar.

The Fayette County Grand Jury handed down felony indictments on Thursday, Sept. 20. An indictment is a formal criminal accusation, not a finding of guilt. An indictment means that the grand jury has found sufficient cause to warrant a trial.

The Fayette County Retired Teacher Association met Monday, Sept. 10, in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with 38 members present. President Melanie Mica welcomed members and called on Ann Hilgers to lead pledges to the American and Texas flags.

The Rotary Club of La Grange’s Harvey Disaster Relief Committee donated $8,000 to the Mennonite Disaster Relief fund for all of their efforts in rebuilding the La Grange community.
