The backlash that some citizens have expressed to the plan to turn the old Fayette Memorial Hospital into a clinic has surprised some of the principal organizers of the project. “It’s morphed into perhaps issues that were not on our radar at all,” said La Grange superintendent Randy Albers.

Each year societies of catholic family fraternal of Texas- K.J.Z.T.focus on participating in parish and community work projects and fundraisers throughout the State. The 100 Project will provide $100 dollars from the state office to each society to be given to the charity of their choice.

The VFW Post No. 5254 and its Ladies Auxiliary celebrated Loyalty Day at their May meeting with a catered barbecue and sausage meal with all the trimmings. Commander Dick Frenzel welcomed all and proclaimed loyalty to flag and country.
