The Schulenburg girls basketball team downed Columbus 49-45 Tuesday. Shannon Mikesky led the Lady Horns with 21
points. Marilyn Davis scored 9, Sam Gabler 8, Halie Lewis 6, Carah Havrda 3, and Deadra Jackson 2.

The La Grange boys basketball team got its first win of the season Monday, downing Round Top-Carmine 73-49. The Leps (1-1) overcame a strong start by RTC, and pulled away over the final three quarters.

The La Grange football team is winning a lot lately. Heading into this Friday’s regional semifinal game against Hardin-Jefferson (11-1) the Leps have won all 12 games they’ve played this season, 25 of their last 26 games, and 34 of their last 38.

KATY – The games keep getting bigger, and the Leps keep playing better. La Grange pounded Orangefield 49-7 Friday in a 4A area round football playoff contest here at Rhodes Stadium, and the Leps are now one of only 16 teams left in the 4A Division II bracket.
