The swagger is quickly returning to the defending district champion La Grange boys basketball team. Just four days after beating Cuero by 44 points, the Leps turned in an even more dominating performance Tuesday at home, spanking Gonzales 80- 30.

In a game they needed to have to keep their basketball playoff hopes alive, the Lady Leps came through in the clutch. The La Grange girls used a big third quarter to turn a one-point halftime lead into a double-digit advantage and then held on for a 35-24 win.

The La Grange boys basketball team got back on the winning track Tuesday with a 73-64 road win at Yoakum. Dylan Adkins had a monster game for the Leps, scoring 28 and Cassel Tezeno added 20 as La Grange turned a one-point halftime lead into a nine-point win.

If the La Grange boys basketball team is going to repeat as district champs, they are going to have to play some catch-up.
Last season the Leps won their first six district games in a row and were never anywhere but atop the 26-3A standings.
