The La Grange city recycling program “got so successful” according to city manager Shawn Raborn, that city employees
were having a difficult time keeping up sorting items in the blue bins which city garbage service patrons placed curbside each week.

La Grange and Fayetteville volunteer fire departments responded to a house fire at 741 S. Madison Monday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. The house was formerly the home of James “Bubba” Hruska who passed away in November. The house was fully engulfed and appeared to be a total loss.
