LG’s Orona to Kick for Texas Tech

La Grange High School football coach Matt Kates said Leopard senior-to-be Alan Orona is “one of the Top 5 kickers in the state of Texas.”

Last week Orona cashed in on that ability, accepting a scholarship offer to kick for the Texas Tech University football team after graduation.

The star distance runner and La Grange High School graduate has spent the last two years piling up national awards and junior college All-American honors at Allen Community College in Kansas.

Experience on Lions Side This Year

Many of the names are the same, but this is a very different Fayetteville baseball team than the one that went to state last year.

In 2017, a Lions team that only had one senior marched all the way to the state title game, falling just short of a state title, falling 11-7 to Abbott.
