Residents Allowed Back into Hardest Hit Neighborhoods

Some residents of the hardest hit flooded areas of La Grange, Country Way Village and The Oaks mobile home parks, started re-entering their neighborhood in stages Thursday morning. Colorado Landing residents were allowed back Friday.

Number of Homeless in La Grange Now in the Hundreds

Getting a true handle on the number of people now homeless because of the flood in La Grange was tricky, mayor Janet Moerbe said. Officially, there were 350 residential utility accounts in the flood affected area of La Grange.

Evening Flood Update - 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28

The Colorado River level in La Grange was 53.68 feet at 6 p.m., down from a high of 54.22 feet at 1:40 p.m.

It was the third highest crest on record and the highest in over a century.
