The La Grange Economic Development Corporation this week donated $35,000 to Fayette County Habitat for Humanity to help purchase building supplies for three new homes to be built in La Grange by Habitat.
The homes will be constructed on land in the Camp St. and Pearl St. areas.

Volleyball has a proud tradition of success at La Grange High School, and that history was on display as the Lady Leps varsity hosted a match against an alumni squad for the first time in recent years Tuesday.
And the alumni most definitely came to play.

LA VERNIA – One bad quarter was enough to erase an otherwise good night by the La Grange football team Friday.
The Leps led La Vernia for three quarters before a nightmarish final 12 minutes allowed La Vernia to escape with a 30- 13 win over La Grange.

Before Friday’s game Argyle students made a donation of more than $1,000 to La Grange for flood relief.
Once the game began, however, any kindness from Argyle ceased as the No. 4 Eagles blasted La Grange 70-0.

Tuesday marked a return to the court for the La Grange volleyball team after a week and a half away from the game because of Hurricane Harvey.
It was not, however, a week off for the Lady Leps.
