There was no easing into district play for the La Grange boys soccer team, as they faced the challenge of perennial district title contender Gonzales in Friday’s district opener.
And Gonzales was as good as advertised, downing the Leps 3-0 .

Brandon Schovajsa, the current principal at Round Top- Carmine High School has been named the lone finalist to replace Adren Pilger as superintendent at RTC ISD.
Pilger has informed the school board he plans to retire Jan. 27.

The holiday season is a busy time for the folks at iconic Royers Round Top Cafe. Anyone passing by the shop Monday afternoon would have seen about 600 boxes of Royers pies packaged for mailing that day alone, stacked out front of the cafe on any available sidewalk space.
