Visiting my granddaughter for lunch at school is a whole new experience these days.
There was a time, not very long ago that a parent (or grandparent) could call ahead and then arrive at the appointed lunch time, walk into the cafeteria and have lunch with his or her grandchild.

The bridge on FM 154 just south of Parker Road is finally starting to come together. The barriers are gone, asphalt has been laid, railing up, and the major thing left is the stripping of the lanes.

The aftermath of the flooding from Hurricane Harvey has been a headache for so many. Those who lost their homes were faced with finding a place to sleep at night. A small number of them were able to find another home. Some of them were able to find hotel rooms.
