Mark Charles Steinhauser, 59, of Bastrop, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Mark was born in La Grange on April 28, 1957, the son of Alfred “A.C.” Steinhauser and Paula Mae (Siebel) Ehlert. He married Deborah Billeck on Oct. 1, 1983 in La Grange.

Alice Helen (Vecera) Kovar, 86, of La Grange died Monday, May 2, 2016. Alice was born in Plum on June 24, 1929, the daughter of Frank and Annie (Srubar) Vecera. She married Lad J. Kovar on Nov. 26, 1946 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum.

Jay Irvin Green, 72, died April 19, 2016 in Houston. He was surrounded by his most cherished and beloved family along with the wonderful staff of Houston Methodist Hospital. Jay was a kind and generous soul, who connected deeply with others and the communities in which he lived and served.

Ernest William Kirschke, Jr. age 76 of Round Top passed away on April 26, 2016 at his home. Ernest was born on July 28, 1939 in Houston to Ernest William Kirschke and Helen Mary Quandt. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
